Pecan Pie

Ingredients

1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell
150 grams of chopped pecans
4 eggs
1/3 cup of brown sugar
1 pinch of salt
1/3 cup of melted butter
1/2 cup corn syrup
2/3 cup of maple syrup

1- Preheat oven to 350 F

2- Spread the pecans in unbaked pie shell.

3- In a bowl, mix together the eggs, brown sugar, salt, melted butter (make sure it's not to warm), corn syrup and maple syrup. Poor over pecans in pie shell.

4- Cook in oven for about 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in middle comes out clean. (I put aluminium paper around the edge of the crust but that's optional).

Let cool for about 2 hours.

Makes an easy and great dessert!

  6. This looks amazing, and totally classic. Pecan pie is a childhood memory for me. I should make my own and pass the memory on to my little girl.
