Crockpot BBQ Ribs

After you try these amazing crockpot ribs, you won't cook them any other way. What is easier then letting the ribs cook all day in a tasty BBQ sauce? When your ready to eat them, just grilled them for a couple of minutes on the BBQ to give them that nice grilled taste.

BBQ Sauce

1 1/2 cup of ketchup
1/2 cup of apple jelly (you can replace by 1/2 cup of apple sauce and 1/4 cup of brown sugar)
1/3 cup of apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon of chili powder
1/2 teaspoon of onion salt
1 clove of garlic crushed
Ground pepper

Place the ribs in the crockpot (4 pounds of pork back ribs).
In a small bowl, mix together all the ingredients for the BBQ sauce and poor over ribs.
Cook at low setting for 6 hours (do not cook longer then 6 hours or the ribs will fall apart and you won't be able to grill them on the BBQ).

After 6 hours, remove the ribs from the slow cooker and reserve. Transfer the BBQ sauce in the slow cooker to a sauce pan. Cook until the BBQ sauce thickens. Use this sauce to baste the ribs while they cook on the BBQ. Grill the ribs for a couple of minutes a side.

Enjoy!

  1. This is a great idea! Combining the slow cooker and the grill will get the meat tender, but crunchy on the outside (from the grill) Yumm-o-licious!
