So here is my last update on our Summer Bucket List. We did not get to do everything on the list but we did a lot of stuff that was not on the list. That was even more fun!
We had the chance to eat outside a lot this summer but it was fun to enjoy this nice little picnic in our backyard!
My son wanted to go the the water slides for his birthday but the weather did not cooperate, so we ended up going to Funtropolis. They had so much fun. Great place to go if you have young kids.

My daughter is helping me prepare my son's favourite dessert, sugar pie.
Special request from my son for his 6th birthday. No cake but a sugar pie.
Fishing time!
A great afternoon at the lake.
So unfortunately we did not go to the waterpark, go biking or go see the fireworks. We replaced the water slides with Funtropollis, the kids did some biking in our yard and for the fireworks, it just didn't work out.
I've learned something while making that summer bucket list. It can be fun to plan activities for the summer but you need to leave some time for spur of the moment and surprise! So next year, no summer bucket list!

Your kids look like they has such a fun time together this summer; its great that they get along so well! I'm a little curious about sugar pie -- I've never heard about that before, although I can guess at its major ingredient! It's been fun following along with your summer bucket list, even if you don't have one for next summer.
ReplyDeleteOMG Anna, if only pictures could talk.... My kids fight all the time....but they still like to play together sometimes. Sugar pie is more of a French Canadian dish. This one is made with brown sugar and maple syrup. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteI think you did an amazing job accomplishing your summer bucket list and adding your spur of the moment events in! It sounded like a wonderful, eventful and yummy summer. I would really enjoy a slice of the sugar pie too. MMM
ReplyDeleteThanks Jessica, we were pretty busy and had lots of fun!!!
DeleteWow, you all got so much done though! Seems like a very memorable summer for your family!
ReplyDeleteYes it was, so sad to see summer go. I think we will be able to find other fun stuff to do during fall and winter :).
Deletethat looked like a super fun bucket list.It looks like you got eighty percent of it done.
ReplyDeleteYes it was lots of fun. I guess 80% is not that bad.
